The olsr-story
This text will give you a very interesting insight to the evolution of olsr.org based on the research from the Freifunk-Community
Unofficial release towards olsrd-0.5.0
Patched version of olsrd-0.4.10. There are many patches (18) around for 0.4.10 that improve performance and fix bugs. Development on the olsr.org website had been delayed for a while, but it started again after we released this package. The patches (and more) have been applied to the CVS at olsr.org. Since development is now actively continuing at olsr.org there is no reason to use the tarball from our site anymore. There may still be a difference: I modified the Makefile, so ETX/LQ and Fisheye are the default now instead of RFC3626. If you wonder why I did this read 'The olsr story'. Note that there is one issue with our tarball: The template in the configuration file to utilize the dyn_gw feature suggests to load olsrd_dyn_gw.so.0.3 while the version of the plugin that is installed in /usr/lib is olsrd_dyn_gw.so.0.4. If you start in debug-mode olsrd will tell you that loading the plugin fails - so all you have to do is change that number in /etc/olsrd.conf.
